FaithSpark’s Commitment to Combatting Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Revised February 2025
At FaithSpark, the safety and well-being of children and youth are our highest priorities. We are committed to creating a secure environment that actively combats Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in all its forms, ensuring the protection of every user.
Our CSAE Prevention and Protection Measures
Strict Ministry Requirements
Protection Policies: Ministries using FaithSpark must have up-to-date child protection policies in place. These policies must align with best practices for safeguarding children in digital and in-person ministry settings.
Leader Training: Ministries are required to ensure their leaders complete regular digital safety training to stay informed on the latest risks and best practices for online child protection.
Leader Vetting: Every ministry is responsible for properly vetting its leaders, ensuring that only trusted, background-checked individuals are given access to communicate with children.
Enforcement: Ministries that fail to comply with these safety requirements will be removed from the platform.
Proactive Safety Features
Invite-Only Community: FaithSpark operates as a closed digital space, where only pre-approved members can join a ministry's communication channels.
AI Image Moderation: Our system automatically reviews and removes inappropriate images before they reach their recipients, helping to prevent the sharing of harmful material.
Profanity and Inappropriate Language Filters: Messages are automatically scanned and filtered to maintain a safe and appropriate communication environment.
Chat Transparency: All chat interactions are logged and accessible to ministry leaders, ensuring conversations remain appropriate and accountable.
In-App Reporting System: Users can report any suspicious activity directly within the app, triggering an immediate review by both the ministry leader and FaithSpark's support team.
Continuous Oversight & Compliance Monitoring
Random Audits: FaithSpark regularly conducts audits of ministries to ensure compliance with our strict child safety policies.
Swift Action on Violations: If a ministry is found to be violating our safety standards, we will take immediate corrective action, which may include suspension or removal from the platform.
By enforcing these requirements and implementing advanced safety measures, FaithSpark provides a secure and accountable digital space where children and youth can safely engage with their ministry leaders.
